UPM and Kyutech have held “International Symposium on Applied Engineering and Sciences (SAES)” together since 2013.

In SAES, the researchers and students of various research fields from both universities participate to give oral and poster sessions on their study and research.

The 7th SAES was held at UPM in November 2019 and more than 340 researchers and students participated in the event.
The 8th SAES, which was planned to be held at Kyutech in December 2020, was held online due to COVID-19 pandemic. Although it was the first time to hold SAES as an online 8-day event, the number of participants reached over 500, which is the largest participation ever.
