Center for Instrumental Analysis (CIA) was established in April, 1993, to encourage education and research in the fields of fundamental and applied science by making available high-performance instruments for chemical and physical analyses. CIA makes every effort to promote joint utilization of the scientific instruments installed here by researchers on and off campus. Specially, CIA contributes to technical education through training in equipment operation and introducing modern instrumental analysis techniques.
CIA consists of six sections
1. Structural Analysis
2. Structural Analysis of Atoms and Molecules
3. Biological Function Analysis
4. Surface and Interface Analysis
5. Element Analysis
6. Sample Preparation and Data Analysis
In addition, The Center assists in constructing data bases of latest phisico-chemical information and in developing new analysis techniques. The CIA building was constructed in March, 1997
