Ambassador of Mexico to Japan visits Kyutech

H.E. Ms. Melba María Pría Olavarrieta, the Ambassador of Mexico to Japan, visited Kyutech Wakamatsu Campus and Tobata Campus on March 22nd, 2021.

Prof. Dr. Tomohiro Shibata of Graduate School of Life Science and Systems Engineering and his two graduate school students from Mexico (Mr. Salvador Blanco Negrete and Mr. Raul Ariel Duran Jimenez) welcomed the Ambassador to Shibata Laboratory at Wakamatsu Campus and introduced their research activities. The Ambassador expressed her appreciation for the academic activities and results of the Mexican students.

At Tobata Campus, Dr. Jose Rodrigo Cordova Alarcon, a Mexican postdoctoral fellow of Kyutech, and his supervisor, Prof. Dr. Mengu Cho, welcomed the Ambassador to the Laboratory of Lean Satellite Enterprises and In-Orbit Experiments to introduce Kyutech's nano-satellite projects and to discuss the progress of collaboration with Mexico.

The courtesy visit to Kyutech President (Dr. Yuji Oie), and Executive Vice Presidents (Dr. Yasunori Mitani and Mr. Hideki Takasaki) brought about fruitful discussion with positive and practical ideas on how to enhance and foster Mexico-Kyutech academic cooperation.

Kyutech would like to express sincere gratitude to Ambassador Melba Pría for visiting Kyutech.
