On November 27 of 2018, Clarivate Analytics, a global provider of scientific information services based in the United States, released “Highly Cited Researchers 2018”, and Prof. Tomonari Suzuki of Faculty of Engineering was selected as one of the world-class researchers.

 Highly Cited Researchers is the list of the influential researchers in 21 study fields of natural science and social science, based on the survey by Clarivate Analytics on the highly cited papers ranked in the top 1%. This year, over 4,000 researchers (90 from Japan) appear on the list, and Prof. Suzuki has been selected five years in a row.
