Twenty students from University Putra Malaysia (UPM) visited Kyutech from September 24th to October 8th, this year's third group for the Mobility Program arranged between Kyutech and UPM.
The UPM students participated in variety of educational modules coordinated by the Global Learning Support Division of Leaning and Teaching Center at Kyutech: International Collaborative Learning Workshop with 14 Kyutech students, lecture on Maze and Micro Mouse by Prof. Takeshi Shinohara, Energy environment material science Laboratory tour by Dr. Alok K. Jha, SHOGI Development Project by Prof. Mitsunori Mizumachi, lecture on Kitakyushu SDGs Report by Ms. Junko Ota from Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) Kitakyushu Urban Center, factory visits to Kitakyushu Eco-Town Center, Yaskawa Electric Corporation, and Shinmoji Waste Management Center, and Japanese classes, etc. Through the program, UPM students were exposed to Japanese newest technology as well as green technology and innovation.
They also had chances to experience traditional Japanese cultures, such as calligraphy and origami arranged by Language Lounge. Even though it was a short term program, students were able to gain a lot of new/different experiences and enjoyed their stay at Kyutech.
