23 students and an officer from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) visited Kyutech from June 28th to July 11th, 2018 in a mobility program arranged by Kyutech and UPM.
Although some classes were suddenly cancelled due to rainstorms, UPM students were able to attend a groupwork with Kyutech students who enrolled in the class called “International Collaborative Learning” offered by Assoc. Prof. Reiko Kato, Assoc. Prof. Masahiko Ota, and Assoc. Prof. Takeshi Tamamura. UPM students also joined the workshop on sustainable development which Prof. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman (Deputy Vice Chancellor), Prof. Daud Ahmad Israf Ali, and Assoc. Prof. Arifin Abdu of UPM came to see.
Furthermore, UPM students joined a laboratory tour guided by Assist. Prof. Alok Jha and visited the laboratory of Assoc. Prof. Nishida. They also visited Kitakyushu Eco-town Center, Shabondama Soap Co., Ltd., Nissan Motor Kyushu Co., Ltd., and Kitakyushu Environment Museum during the program. They learned the latest developments in modern technology and realized their commitments for environmental protection. UPM students deepened their understanding on Japanese culture and Kyutech through Japanese classes as well as interaction with Kyutech students.
