Kyutech & UiTM Student Mobility Programme

Update:2025.03.12

From March 3rd to 8th 2025, we hosted 11 students and 1 advisor from the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Malaysia at the Tobata Campus for a student exchange program (coordinated by Associate Professor Hirofumi Saito of Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Institute of Liberal Arts).

On March 5th, a workshop on the theme of robotics, including a tour to the Kitakyushu Science and Research Park, was held at the Wakamatsu Campus, with Mr. Akinobu Mizutani (2nd year of the Doctoral Program, Tamukoh laboratory of Graduate School of Life Science and Systems Engineering) acting as moderator. 10 Kyutech students who are to be dispatched to UiTM from the 16th of the same month also participated in the workshop as part of their preparatory studies. They were able to interact with the UiTM students prior to their departure by actively exchanging ideas regarding future robots.

In addition, the UiTM students also took a Japanese language class, visited a car recycling plant and learnt the advanced environmental technology at the Kitakyushu Eco-Town Center, and did fieldwork related to the SDGs in various locations in Kitakyushu City, which helped them develop a comparative perspective on sustainable societies between Malaysia and Japan.
