On May 8th, 2024, Prof. Dato Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah (Vice Chancellor), Prof. Dr. Ismi Arif Ismail(Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic and International), Prof. Dr. Arifin Abdu(Deputy Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Alumni), and Mr. Sharudin Sahrani(Special Officer to the Vice Chancellor)from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) visited Kyutech to celebrate together the grand opening of the Kyutech – UPM Japan Super Satellite Center (JSSC) at Kyutech Wakamatsu Campus (Graduate School of Life Science and Systems Engineering).
Since Kyutech and UPM jointly established UPM-Kyutech Malaysia Super Satellite Campus (MSSC) at UPM in 2013, both universities have been fostering international collaborations which outcomes have been acknowledged as one of the most outstanding result of the Japanese national university’s internationalization.
After 10 years of successful operation of MSSC, in November 2023, Kyutech was honored to receive an idea and the official request from UPM to set up desk and chair at Kyutech for UPM academic staff while staying at Kyutech.
Then, Kyutech and UPM agreed to set up the JSSC at Kyutech Wakamatsu Campus where main players of Kyutech academic staff collaborating with UPM belong to. JSSC provides office space such as desk and chair, and a meeting table, dinning facilities, and prayer’s space to station UPM staff in order to advance and promote international collaborations between Kyutech and UPM.
