Kyutech was selected for the "Sakura Science Program" by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (in charge: Associate Professor Shinya Ikeno of the Graduate School of Life Science and Systems Engineering), from November 24 to December 14, 2023.
Under the theme of "International Collaborative Research on Nanobiosensors for Detection of Water Environmental Pollutants," a total of eight researchers (three faculty members and five students) from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), and Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Malaysia were invited to deepen international exchange through collaborative research.
The program included joint research, cross-cultural exchange, visits to research facilities, research presentations, and laboratory tours at the Wakamatsu and Iizuka campuses. Through a series of activities, the students were able to interact with each other and experience each other's research environment and cultural differences, making these activities extremely meaningful. In the future, we will continue to strengthen the relationship between the universities to develop joint research.
