22 students and 2 staff from University Putra Malaysia (UPM) visited Kyutech from September 6 to 20, 2023 for the Mobility Program arranged between Kyutech and UPM. They participated in a program coordinated by the Institute of Liberal Arts of Kyutech.
The program included many educational modules on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDGs Project with 12 Kyutech students as part of the International Collaborative Learning Course facilitated by Dr. SAITO Hirofumi, Dr. KATO Reiko and Dr. TSAI peii(Institute of Liberal Arts); Lab visit to "Laboratory of Lean Satellite Enterprises and In-Orbit Experiments" by Dr. AKAHOSHI Yasuhiro(Faculty of Engineering, Department of Space Systems Engineering); Student Projects visit to "Hibikino-Musashi@Home", one of the highly recognized Student Projects at the Wakamatsu Campus; factory visits to Hiagari Purification Center and Kitakyushu Water Plaza, and Kitakyushu Eco-Town Center.
Through the program, UPM students were exposed to the latest Japanese technology as well as green technology and innovation. They also had the opportunity to experience Japanese culture through Japanese language classes and recreational activities organized by Kyutech students. Even though it was a short program, the students were able to gain a lot of new/different experiences and enjoyed their stay at Kyutech.
